Some of you may have noticed that not long ago we broke 100 users. Or so it seemed. I noticed we seemed to be getting them unusually fast, so took a look at them.
Surprise surprise, most of them were bots. I could tell from the fact that their "Links" were either called "Hello all.letter" and led to a geocites page, or else were very clearly just spam for sex ads or some such. So I let Jamie loose, and let Jamie horribly maul all the obvious bots until they were completely unrecognizable, then I took the deletion hammer and threw them out of the place.
So yes, we were downsized and lost about half our members, but I felt it worth it to get rid of the scum. i'll try to keep a closer watch in the meantime, and Jamie will be on hand to make sure nobody gets by.
Just thought I'd keep everyone updated and try to inject some life into this place.
